Overview
Modern streets are crowded with street-light poles, surveillance poles, signal poles, signage poles and 5G micro-cell poles — separately owned, separately maintained, separately wired. REDCOAST's Integrated Smart Pole Solution consolidates lighting, video, environmental sensing, public Wi-Fi, emergency broadcast, panic buttons, information signage and EV charging onto one multi-purpose pole, then unifies onboarding, dispatch and maintenance through our in-house management platform.
The solution targets municipal owners and operators at city, district and industrial-park level. It can be delivered as the hardware + software backbone of a smart city / smart street / smart road project, or it can integrate with existing lighting, security and city-management systems.
Architecture
- Sensing layer — smart pole all-in-one + edge gateway. Each pole carries 4–8 device classes (LED luminaire, HD camera, environmental sensor, 5G/Wi-Fi, info display, broadcast, panic button, EV charger) aggregated by a local gateway.
- Network layer — primarily 4G / 5G public network, with fiber as backup. In-pole LoRa / RS-485 / Ethernet aggregation; supports remote control and policy push downstream.
- Platform layer — REDCOAST IoT management platform: device onboarding, asset ledger, map visualization, alarms & work orders, energy reporting, GIS / city-ops / emergency integrations.
- Application layer — web console + iOS / Android mobile app. Field staff scan a pole QR to identify the asset, view live status, check in for maintenance and upload remediation photos.
