Positioning
The RC-SP800 is REDCOAST's multi-purpose smart pole all-in-one, designed for medium-sized urban roads and industrial-park trunk roads. Unlike the conventional "pole + a pile of devices" approach, the RC-SP800 leaves the factory with pole, cabinet, edge gateway, power and mounting platforms pre-integrated — erect, mount, and bring online in one site visit.
Key features
- Four mounting platforms — top for 5G / Wi-Fi small cells; upper for HD cameras; middle for info displays / public-service modules; lower for broadcast / panic / EV charging. Each layer ships with standard M10 bolt patterns and corresponding cable entries.
- Built-in edge gateway — ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core, 2GB RAM / 16GB ROM, running REDCOAST EdgeOS. Aggregates data, converts protocols, caches offline, executes policies locally.
- Full-scenario connectivity — 4G LTE and Wi-Fi 6 as standard; optional 5G module and fiber backhaul. In-pole RS-485 ×4, DI ×8, DO ×4 and optional LoRa for downstream devices.
- Smart power distribution — independent 220V / 24V / 12V rails, each with its own RCD and metering. Adding new devices does not require touching the main circuit.
- IP65 industrial grade — IP65 cabinet, IP66 mounting interfaces; rated for -30°C to +65°C and long-term outdoor exposure.

Software
The RC-SP800 ships with REDCOAST EdgeOS and is pre-paired with the REDCOAST IoT management platform. Once provisioned, the web console and mobile app can:
- view real-time status and alarms across all mounted devices;
- push lighting policies (schedules, dimming, grouping, holiday plans);
- remotely upgrade gateway and device firmware;
- let field staff scan a pole QR to identify the asset, check in and submit work orders.
Sizing guide
- 8 m — secondary roads, park internal roads, pedestrian streets.
- 10 m — main urban roads (recommended).
- 12 m — expressways, cross-block trunk locations, plazas.
